How to Recover Deleted iMessages from iPhone

Recently, many iPhone users ask me how to recover deleted iMessages from their iPhone. In this article, I will show you the easiest way to do that.

No matter you lost or deleted iMessages from your iPhone, actually, the iMessages are still in your iPhone. You just can't see them. They are permanently deleted after you have new data to overwrite them. So if you find you lose or accidentally delete  iMessages on your iPhone, just stop using your iPhone until you recover the deleted iMessages.

However, if you have iPhone backup file, you can also restore your iPhone with the backup file and get back the iMessages to your iPhone easily. While, I don't recommend you to do this with iTunes if your backup file is out of date. Because after that, your iPhone will return to the same of your backup file. All the new data will be wiped from your iPhone.

Step 1. Scan Your iPhone

Free download, install and run this recovery software on your computer. Plug your iPhone to it and the software will detect your iPhone and load it to its interface. You need to have iTunes installed on your computer. It will help the recovery software to recognize your iPhone correctly. But you don't need to run it when you recover data.

Click "Scan" button on the interface. The software will scan your iPhone deeply. It will find all the data on your iPhone including the deleted data and the data existing on your iPhone now. It will list all the data after scanning. You can easily find the data you want.

Step 2. Preview and Recover Deleted iMessages

Once the software finishes scanning, there will be a data menu on the left side of the interface. You can easily find the data you want to recover. Find "Messages" section and enter it. You will see all the messages on your iPhone. Deleted messages are in red. You can easily find the deleted iMessages conversation. Preview the contents and select all the iMessages you want to recover. Click "Recover" button. The software will recover all the selected iMessages for you and save them to your computer as soon as possible.
